The Flower Group is a major exporter of Indian garments, to various countries around the world. A Government recognized Export House; the Flower Group had its beginnings in 1972 with the starting of Flower Hosieries by Mr. S. Subramani. Mr. Subramani had envisioned that the Flower Group would eventually become a force to be reckoned with in the garment industry. His entrepreneurial skills have made Flower Hosieries to make its mark in the Indian domestic market within a few years of its inception. To meet the requirements made by the foreign market for Indian garments, Flower Knitting Mills was started in the year 1988.

The starting of Divya Dyeing in 1990 enhanced the growth of the group. Divya Spinning Mills, started in the year 2000, with a capacity of 16000 spindles, which enables it to spin multiple count high-quality yarn, gave the group an added impetus.

This massive expansion has been furthered by the demands of the export market. To meet the demands, the growth was made possible by addition of more manpower, the introduction of newer modern machinery and infrastructure. All of this, coupled with stringent quality standards has made the Flower Group an important player in the global textile industry.

Mr. S.S. Senthil Kumar had joined the concern in 2000 to add new blood to the group's activities. He is the son of the founder, Mr. S. Subramani. Mr. Senthil Kumar, a Business Management graduate, had been involved in the day-to-day activities of the group from his childhood. He holds the post of Managing Partner of the Flower Group.
